I always have the same problem every January, how to decorate our front porch after the holidays.
In no time at all we will be decorating for Valentines and Spring soon after, but for now I decided to use what I already had to make a new wreath for the front door.
We have three bushes that were planted when we built the house and lately they have been growing out of control.
We find ourselves clipping them often and last weekend, I decided to save some of those clippings to make a new wreath.
Using an old 24" grapevine, the boxwood clippings and green floral wire, I was able to put together a simple
but decent size wreath.
As long as you attach your clippings all going in the same direction, it is quite easy to make look full.
I even had a bunch of clippings left.
When the wreath was finished, I sprayed it with Wilt Pruf.
I did the same the last time I made a boxwood wreath and it stayed looking good for about 45 days.
For now and as long as it lasts, we will enjoy the pretty green color.
One of these days I am going to learn how to preserve boxwood. :)
Thank you all for your visit.
See you soon!
