TUESDAYS AT OUR HOME #142

WELCOME!

It is so good to be back blogging!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.
It has been a super busy and exciting month for me. I am still trying to recuperate from my trip to Spain.
What an amazing time I had!

Just being able to spend ten days in beautiful Madrid and see my family and friends has been for me the best Christmas gift I could of ever got.
The trip was long and exhausting, but so worth it.

I arrived back in the States just in time to spend Christmas with my husband and kids. We had a fabulous and very special family time since this was also our grandson's first Christmas.

I am now dealing with jet lag. Not fun! The seven hour difference with Spain has really done a number on me.
Hope to get my hours back to normal soon. :)

Enough chit chat! Let get this party going.
Lets see what you have been up to lately! You can link up any posts that are home decor, gardening, crafting, painting, sewing, cooking or DIY related.  NO Etsy shops or link parties, please. And although there is really no other rules to join, I would love if you start following my blog.
  Have fun!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

CHRISTMAS AT OUR HOME

Any other time I would of shared our Christmas decorations in several different posts not to overwhelm you with pictures, but this year I just don't have the time to do that since I will be traveling to Spain in a couple of days and won't be back home until the night before Christmas.

Our Holiday decor this year is very, very simple and almost the same as last year. Between planning and cooking for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping and getting ready for this trip, I feel like it is almost a miracle I was able to get the house semi-decorated for Christmas.

So here it goes, our simply decorated 2015 Christmas home.

TUESDAYS AT OUR HOME #140 & FEATURES

WELCOME!

I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday weekend!
Ours was sooo nice. Lots of work, but we had a wonderful Thanksgiving family dinner.
Although it was a lot of work, it was worth seeing all our loved ones enjoying themselves.
I decorated the table as nice as I could, paying attention to all the little details.

And then I cooked for eight hours. :)

Needless to say, the turkey was not the star of the show, since this little guy had everyone wrapped
around his little finger.

And although his turkey came out of a jar, he ate with us at the table and joined in the conversation. :)

It sure was one of the best Thanksgiving day we have had in many years since we finally had
all our three children home.
And now is Monday, back to reality and chores, lots of chores! I have to put our house back together and start decorating it for Christmas.

But before all that happens, lets take a look at last week features.

Vel at Life & Home at 2102 spruced up and organized her beautiful home library. What a gorgeous space!

Marty at Marty's Musings made gorgeous rustic wood candle holders.

Judith at Botanic Bleu created an amazing Thanksgiving tablescape.

Penny at Penny's Vintage Home decorated her master bathroom in a coastal Christmas theme.
How pretty is this?

Sarah at The Gold Lining Girl shared an amazing recipe for Amaretto Pumpkin pie.

Tanya at Lemons for Lulu shared a wonderful recipe for Eggnog Ice Cream Floats.

DIY THANKSGIVING PLACEMATS

HAPPY VETERANS DAY!
It is hard to believe in a couple of weeks we will be celebrating Thanksgiving Day.
Time is flying for us and preparations for all the upcoming holidays are very well underway.

This year we will have a full house, so I started getting ready several weeks ago.
First thing I am concentrating on is our Thanksgiving table, so I decided to make some burlap placemats.
