BATHROOM DIY WALL ART

Happy Friday!
It has been another busy week for me and this coming weekend looks like it will be about the same.
Sometimes I feel like I am inside the washing machine during the spin cycle. LOL

A few weeks ago my daughter announced she was very tired of the way her bathroom was decorated.
Like mother, like daughter. :) It's in the blood.
Sooo, the change started soon after.
We are not quite finished yet, but today I am sharing with you how I easily changed one of her old pictures to match her new colors and save her a little money.

She found this gorgeous fabric and we are pulling from it the colors for the rest of the bathroom decor.

This is what the old frame looked like.
Very pretty, but not good for this new look.

And this is the the picture now.

This is how we did it. We took the frame apart, sprayed painted the outer frame in white, painted the inside frame in a darker pink color and covered the center square with white canvas fabric.

Around it, we used a thick craft paper in two different shades of pink which we applied using mod podge.

Using the Silhouette Cameo, we created a few pretty designs.

And glued to the center a pretty green silk flower.

Before and After

Her bathroom is almost finished and looking very different.
She is happy as a clam! LOL
We hope to have a little time this weekend and finish the final touches.

I hope you all have a wonderful and restful weekend.
See you soon!
